What's the top program in South Carolina? That question will be answered Saturday afternoon when nationally-ranked Byrnes takes on Summerville for the Class AAAA Division I state high school football championship.
Byrnes (14-0) is the new kid on the block winning the Class AAAAA Division II championships from 2002-2005. On the other hand you have Summerville (13-1) coached by the living legend John McCissick, who's America's all-time winningest coach with with 556 victories. McCissick will be going after his 11th state title.
It will be the first meeting between the two South Carolina powers.
