Welcome to our new look for the 2010 South Carolina high school football season!

With the first day of practice beginning July 30th, I wanted to take the time to thank all of my readers, who have made this blog successful over the past three years.  I have bigger-and-better things planned this year with more original content.

Here's a look at important dates for the 2010 season...

First Practice - July 30th

Regular Season Begins - August 19th

Playoffs Begin - November 5th

Championships - November 26th (A); December 3-4 (AAAA, AAA, AA)

Byrnes & Hoover to Square-off on National Television

Rock Hill's District Stadium will play host to ESPN and a big early season showdown between Byrnes and Alabama-power Hoover on August 28th.

The Herald reports that a news conference was held at Northwestern High School on Tuesday to announce that Byrnes and Hoover will play at noon before a national television audience.  At the same time today, officials announced that that game will be followed by South Pointe taking-on Northwestern.

That game will start at 4 o'clock and be shown on ESPNU.
